Lose Your Job? Go Back to School

I am a big supporter of higher education. In reality, I think that it is your ticket to so many opportunities. To start it can increase your lifetime earning potential. The problem I see is that so many people think that education is not for them. I disagree.
It does take motivation and commitment to complete a degree. Your best bet is to find someone who can provide morale support. I won’t lie. There will be times when you want to quit, but think about the end rewards.
Getting an associate, bachelor, or master’s degree makes you so much more desirable by an employer. It can help you break into a new and exciting field that you had always thought out of your reach. In these tough economic times, it can also give you an edge over other candidates. Let’s face it when an employer has to choose between two candidates who are pretty much equal except for education, they often choose the one with the higher degree.
So invest in yourself and think about the future returns you can get.
